My name is Hezekiah Pugh.
I consider myself more of a story teller than a photographer, using images rather than words to tell the stories. Stories about a stranger on the street, a forgotten place, or a peculiar object, but mostly about my beautiful little family and the everyday adventures of my brave little Prince Loredo.
I want to make the world a nicer place with my photos. I want people to remember simpler times, to recall a perfect day from their childhood or precious moment with their own child: to feel the warmth of a summer day while on the lake shore, or to smell the hot cocoa and hear the crackling of the fire after a snow day.
I also have to admit I am a bit of an antiquarian and yearn for a time when Soap Box Racers, Sling Shots, and Toy Wooden Boats were handmade together with your child in the garage as sort of a right of passage and when things were made to last a lifetime. I believe this desire for things to feel timeless contributes immensely to my sensibilities and the tone of my images.
